2012 marks the 7th year that Rosendale NY hosts its Frozendale Daze winter festival. Celebrate the holidays and the winter season with the fine folks of Rosendale as local businesses and community organizations participate in a fun-filled day full of music, entertainment, delicious food, and fun for the entire family! The Frozendale Daze joins the long list of awesome local events that have made Rosendale NY one of the hottest, up and coming towns in Ulster County NY! So don’t let Old Man Winter keep you inside this Saturday! Head down to Main Street Rosendale NY and celebrate the season at the 2012 Frozendale Daze!
Rosendale NY is full of unique small businesses and delicious restaurants. The Frozendale Daze is a great way to sample them all in one fell swoop! Local businesses participating in Frozendale show their support by offering special deals, prizes, raffles and other treats to visitors. Head over to The Big Cheese for their famous Mac n’ Cheese Bake-Off where the winner of the tastiest macaroni and cheese will win a $50 gift certificate. Or relax with some friends at either the Bywater Bistro or the new 1850 House, both of which are offering early happy hours with tasty hors d'oeuvres! Do you love your pet? Visit Planet Pet, Rosendale’s resident pet groomer for a raffle to win a custom portrait of your pet. If it’s cold out, enjoy some hot tea and find some inner peace at the Visions of Tibet gift shop. Book lovers can head down the Rosendale Public Library for their annual “Frozendale Booktique”. The historic Rosendale Theatre is also joining in the fun with two free screenings of, “the Sound of Music”. Live music will be in the air thanks to musical performances at the Rosendale Café. Kids get a show too at the Redwing Blackbird Theatre, which will host its awesome annual puppet show. To top it all off, there will be a winter parade and jolly music up and down Main Street courtesy of the Rosendale Improvement Association’s brass band!
